Water Bailiff

One central system for all administrative authorities will combine and simplify identification and licensing systems throughout inland waterways.

nA unique, encrypted ID number, once issued, stays with craft - a new owner simply notifies authority via web site or mail on a form similar to a road vehicle change of ownership.

nOnce issued, yearly fees can be paid online, the Water Bailiff database updated and with no licences sent out a major saving would be achieved on postage and administration.

nCraft moving from one administrative authority to another can prepay any additional fees on line or by phone to the central database thus reducing time spent by lock keepers and others on administrative tasks, especially during peak usage times.

System Components

Compact, Active RFID Tag,  broadcasting an encrypted ID at a pre-set 'ping rate'

Tag measures 95 x 40 mm and has a life of at least 10 years

Tag has a range of 100 metres and can be encapsulated in epoxy with logos as required.

RFID Tag Reader, receives ID info from up to 200 tags per second, transmitting info to base station, via wireless and hard-wired networks. Readers can be 'daisy-chained' ad infinitum in order to extend coverage along rivers and canals.

RFID Director, uploads data to secure IP address for processing and display.

Handheld RFID Tag Reader, portable unit, records tag data for upload to base station.
